As a GRC Operational Engineer (Vanta) you will:
- Execute day-to-day compliance work inside Vanta across multiple customer accounts
- Support access reviews, including reviewing user lists, flagging issues, and coordinating approvals
- Collect, review, and maintain evidence for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls
- Track and help resolve failing or incomplete controls
- Reconcile user, device, and software data and flag inconsistencies for follow-up
- Communicate clearly in Slack-based customer channels when clarification or confirmation is needed
- Follow established workflows and timelines to keep compliance work moving smoothly
- Escalate edge cases or blockers to the Head of Customer Operations when appropriate
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience using Vanta in a real company environment
- Have exposure to SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 implementations
- Are comfortable working in startup environments with imperfect, real-world setups
- Communicate clearly in written English and are comfortable working asynchronously
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with follow-through
- Are technically literate enough to navigate tools, dashboards, and structured workflows
- Prefer steady, repeatable work over constant context switching
You do not need to be a software engineer or write code for this role.
Bonus points if you:
- Have worked in a GRC, compliance, or security-adjacent role
- Have used Drata or Secureframe in addition to Vanta
- Have supported access reviews, device verification, or audit preparation before
- Enjoy operational work and keeping systems clean and accurate
